1. Disable the built-in battery. See "Disabling the built-in battery" on page 95.
2. Ensure that the computer is turned off and disconnected from ac power and all cables.
3. Close the computer display and turn the computer over.
4. Remove the base cover assembly. See "Replacing the base cover assembly" on page 96.
5. A film might cover the M.2 solid-state drive. To access the M.2 solid-state drive, open the film first. Then
remove the screw that secures the M.2 solid-state drive.
6. Remove the M.2 solid-state drive out of the slot. Then slide the M.2 solid-state drive out of the drive
cover.
7. Insert the new M.2 solid-state drive into the drive cover. Then insert the drive (with cover) into the slot at
an angle of about 20 degrees and pivot the M.2 solid-state drive downward.
