Using the Airplane mode

The Airplane mode is supported on the Windows 10 operating system. If the Airplane mode is enabled, all
wireless features are disabled.
To enable or disable the Airplane mode, do the following:
1. Open the Start menu.
2. Click Settings ➙ Network & Internet ➙ Airplane mode.
3. Slide the control for Airplane mode to turn it on or off.

Using the camera

Your computer comes with a conventional camera. Depending on the model, some computers might also
support an infrared camera.
Using the conventional camera
To start the camera, open the Start menu and click Camera.
When the camera is started, the indicator is turned on in green, indicating that the camera is in use.
You also can use the integrated camera with other programs that provide features such as photographing,
video capturing, and video conferencing. To use the integrated camera with other programs, open one of the
programs and start the photographing, video capturing, or video conferencing function. Then, the camera
starts automatically and the green camera status indicator turns on.
You can configure the camera settings to meet your needs, such as adjusting the quality of the video output.
To configure the camera settings, do one of the following:
• Open the Camera app, and click the settings icon in the upper-right corner. Follow the instructions on the
screen to configure the camera settings as desired.
• Open the Start menu and then click Lenovo Settings ➙ Camera. Follow the instructions on the screen to
configure the camera settings.
Using the infrared camera
The infrared camera provides a personal and secure way for you to sign in to your computer with face
authentication. After you set the infrared camera for face authentication, you can use your face to unlock
your computer instead of using a password.
To set the infrared camera for face authentication, do the following:
1. Open the Start menu and click Settings ➙ Accounts ➙ Sign-in options.
2. Follow the instructions on the screen to create a Personal Identification Number (PIN).
3. Click the Set up button under Face Recognition. Then click Get Started.
4. Enter the PIN you have set earlier. The camera preview starts.
5. Face the infrared camera. Keep a distance of about 30 cm to 75 cm (11.8 inches to 29.5 inches) away
from the front of the infrared camera during the scanning. The bar under the preview image indicates
the process.
To use the infrared camera to unlock your computer, do the following:
1. Face the infrared camera. Keep a distance of about 30 cm to 75 cm (11.8 inches to 29.5 inches) away
from the front of the infrared camera.
