You hear the radio sounds a short low-pitched
tone to indicate the selected channel does not
support emergency and rejects to launch
emergency mode.
2 Hold the microphone vertically 1 to 2 inches (2.0 to
2.5 cm) from your mouth.
3 Press and hold the PTT button. Speak clearly into
the microphone.
4 Release the PTT button to end the transmission
and wait for a response from the dispatcher.
5 To exit Emergency Call, press and hold the
preprogrammed Emergency button for about a
second.

Sending an Emergency Alarm with Emergency Call

This feature gives your radio priority access on a
channel for conventional system, and to a talkgroup
for trunking system.
If the radio has both emergency call and alarm
features enabled, it automatically proceeds to the call
mode after the alarm is acknowledged.

1 Press the preprogrammed Emergency button.

The display alternates Emergency and the home
display. A high-pitched tone sounds, indicating
that the trunked system central controller has
received the alarm. A dispatcher acknowledgment
(four high-pitched tones) follows, accompanied by
an Ack received display.

cm) from your mouth.
3 Press and hold the PTT button. Speak clearly into
the microphone.
4 Release the PTT button to end the transmission
and wait for a response from the dispatcher.
5 To exit Emergency Call, press and hold the
preprogrammed Emergency button for about a
second.
Turning off the radio also cancels the emergency
state.

Sending a Silent Emergency Alarm

This feature allows you to send an Emergency Alarm
to the system without triggering any audio or visual
indicators.
