Programmable Features

Any reference in this manual to controls that are
preprogrammed means that a qualified radio
technician must use the radio programming software
to assign a feature to a control.
Your dealer can program the programmable buttons
as shortcuts to radio functions or preset channels/
groups depending on the duration of a button press:
Press
Long press Pressing and holding for the

Call Response
Channel

Pressing and releasing rapidly.

Allows the radio to function like
a pager, or to verify if a radio is
active on the system.

call or phone call.
Selects a channel.
Contacts
Selects the Contacts menu.
Dynamic ID
Allows you to edit the ASTRO
(Conventional
Individual ID and/or MDC
Only)
Primary ID of the radio.
Dynamic Priority
Allows any channel in a Scan
(Conventional
List (except for the Priority-One
Only)

the Priority-Two channel.
Emergency
Depending on the
programming, initiates or
cancels an emergency alarm or
call.
Information
Displays the information of the
radio.
Internet Protocol
Display the Internet Protocol

(latitude, longitude, time and
date), and also the distance
and bearing to another
