Please read this guide before attempting to configure the VSP716A. Some of the configuration tasks described in this chapter are duplicated in the Web User Interface (WebUI) described in the next chapter, but if you need to assign static IP addresses, they must be set at each device.

    VSP716A Administrator and Provisioning Manual Network Requirements A simple VSP716A SIP deskset installation example is shown in Figure 1. A switched network topology is recommended for your LAN. The office LAN infrastructure should use Cat.-5/Cat.-5e cable. The VSP716A requires a wired connection to the LAN. However, wireless connections from your LAN to other devices (such as laptops) in your office will not impede performance.
