    Janome 8200 Sewing Machine Instruction Manual Raising and Lowering the Presser Foot The presser foot lifter raises and lowers the presser foot. q Presser foot lifter You can raise the presser foot higher than the normal up position. This allows for changing the needle plate, and also helps you to place thick layers of fabrics under the foot.
