SAFETY DEVICES AND WARNING LABELS
Thread take-up
lever cover
This is a cover for pre-
venting contact between
the human body and the
thread take-up lever.
Thread trimmer
hot wire cover
This is the cover for pro-
tecting the human body
from coming in contact
with the needle thread trim-
ming mechanism and the
hot wire.
Eye protection cover
This is a cover for pro-
tecting eyes from being
injured by a broken
needle.
High-temperature
warning seal
This label indicates that
there is a risk of burn by the
hot wire.
Protective cover
This is the cover for protecting the
human body from coming in contact
with the bobbin thread trimming
mechanism, hot wire, bobbin thread
detecting device and sensor device.
Safety switch
This switch is installed in
order to prevent the sewing
machine from rotating when
it is tilted for maintenance
and inspection.
In addition, be aware that the safety devices such as the "eye protection cover" and
"finger guard" are sometimes omitted in the sketches, illustrations and figures includ-
ed in the Instruction Manual for the explanation's sake.
In the practical use, never remove those safety devices.

This is a switch for disconnect-
ing the power unit of the sew-
ing machine from the power
supply.
Power switch (EU type)
This switch is used
for disconnecting
the power unit of
the sewing machine
from the power sup-
ply. It is also used as
the emergency stop
switch.
Selection of the power switch
Use the IEC60204-1-compliant
power switch with rated current
of 20 A or more and short-cir-
cuit breaking capacity of 120 A
or more, which has the operat-
ing section in red against the
yellow background.
