1.INSTALLATION OF MAIN BEAM

1.1TOP-RUNNING type saddle (ST-D) and TRACKLESS TOP-RUNNING type saddle (ST-D-U)
Fig. 1 - 5 show typical examples of installation of main beams and saddle. The example shown in
Fig.1 requires the largest open space between the rail top and the ceiling. The required open
space becomes smaller in the order of Fig.2, Fig.3 and Fig.4.
*If the open space above rail top is particularly small (in the case of ST-0.2D),
install the main beams and saddle, as shown in Fig.5.

Notes: 1. The saddle frame is made of channel steel in compliance with JIS G 3192
and therefore may cause clearance (shown in Fig.5) between main beam
and saddle frame, due to dimensional tolerance specified by JIS. If the
clearance is large, use a shim plate or spacer to eliminate the clearance.
