Setting heating level
There follows a description of how to set the
heating level on your therapy unit.
On the SOMNOvent CR and SOMNOvent
auto-S/ST units, you can also call up the heat-
ing level via the Patient menu as an alterna-
tive. Follow the operating instructions for your
therapy unit.

Switch on
2. Hold down the humidifier button
approx. 3 seconds until the number and
the humidifier symbol
3. Release the humidifier button
4. By pressing the humidifier button again
you can set the desired heating level
(1 - 6).
On the SOMNOvent CR and
SOMNOvent auto-S/ST units, set the de-
sired heating level using the Softstart but-
ton (+) and the humidifier button (-).
5. To save the setting, wait until the menu
exits automatically.
On the SOMNOvent CR and
SOMNOvent auto-S/ST units, you can
also press the On/Off switch to save the
settings and exit the menu.
Which setting is best for you depends on the
room temperature and the air humidity. This
means that the optimum setting changes ac-
cording to the season. Under "normal" condi-
tions heating level 3 is sufficient.
If your airways feel dry the next morning, the
heat output is too low. Please select a higher
setting.
If condensate forms in the creased hose dur-
ing a night of therapy, the heat output is too
high. Please select a lower setting.
