2.2 Functional description

The breath humidifier functions according to the
overflow principle. The air from the therapy unit
is directed over a water surface. This increases
the relative humidity and the temperature of the
airflow.
The transmission of moisture can be individu-
ally adjusted using the keyboard on the thera-
py unit.
The performance of the heating element, and
hence the water temperature in the humidify-
ing chamber, is controlled electronically by
the Weinmann therapy units.
The water level can be checked at any time
by looking at the transparent humidifying
chamber.
