Installing Options

This chapter provides you with the installation procedures of
options that are available for this printer.

500-Sheet Lower Cassette Unit

It is best to install the optional 500-Sheet Lower Cassette Unit
(C81319 ) when first setting up the printer. You can install up to
two optional 500-Sheet Lower Cassette Units, or one optional 500-
Sheet Lower Cassette Unit plus the optional Large Capacity Paper
Unit.
Please note that you will need the assistance of at least two other
people to lift up the printer when installing this option.
Follow these steps to install the optional 500-Sheet Lower Cassette
Unit:
1. Open the shipping carton.
2. Remove the inserts and all other protective materials inside
the box. Make sure the contents of the package match the
items on the included documentation. Remove the packaging
materials and any other items from the 500-Sheet Lower
Cassette Unit and store them for future use.
3. Lift the unit out of the box and place it near the printer.
