Connecting an AV receiver or digital sound bar

You can enjoy Dolby Audio

• Digital optical audio out (S/PDIF) – Connect a TOSLINK optical cable (not provided) from the TV to the Optical
input on your receiver or sound bar.
• HDMI ARC – Connect an HDMI cable (not provided) from the HDMI (ARC) connector to the HDMI input on your
receiver or sound bar. This connection uses the Audio Return Channel (ARC) feature of the HDMI specification to
output sound from the TV to a compatible device. To use this feature, you must configure the TV to enable HDMI
ARC, as explained in

Preparing for Internet connectivity

If you want to connect your TV to the Internet to watch streaming content, you can choose either a wireless or a wired
connection.
• Wireless connection – To use a wireless connection, make sure you know the name (SSID) and password you use
to connect to your wireless modem/router or wireless access point.
• Wired connection – To use a wired connection, plug your Ethernet cable into the RJ-45 jack on the back of the
TV. The wired connection supports both 10 and 100 Base-T Ethernet
For wireless operation, the TV connects through a built-in wireless LAN adapter. The TV does not support the use of a
USB network adapter.
Note: We recommend that your wireless connection support IEEE 802.11 dual band capability for the best expe-
rience.

Plug your TV into a power outlet. You can tell that the TV has power because the status light on the front of the TV lights
up.
