Replacing TQ1500 – TQ3700 Mechanical Seal
1.Removing mech seal.

Using Allen wrench (metric size) to loose the screws
and remove pressure tank.

Using Allen wrench to remove the motor fan.

Using wrench to loose the stud bolt and remove
impellers.

Loose the screws and remove the motor fan cover.
(3-phase models do not have extension cable)

Clamp the motor shaft.

Remove the 2
stage impeller and sleeve.

- Page 2 Remove the intermediate chamber kit. Remove the 1 stage impeller and sleeve. Remove the sleeve, spring and washer. Remove the rotary parts of mechanical seal (refer the red circled parts) Remove the stationary part. Remove the rubber from the stationary part.
- Page 3 2.Assembling mech seal. Spray water on the shaft.as lubrication Place the stationary parts in position Place in the stationary part Before press in rotary parts, insert the sleeve through the hex shaft aligning the slots on sleeve to tabs on washer.
- Page 4 Identify the impellers – TQ3700, 2 impellers in same Identify the impellers – TQ2200, 1 stage, Parts# size, Parts# C022D0030001. C022D0040006. 2 state Parts# C022D0030001. Identify the impellers – TQ1500, 1 stage, Parts# Install the 1 stage impeller and sleeve. C022D0040006. 2 state Parts# C022D0060007.
- Page 5 Install the intermediate chamber kit. Install the 2nd stage impeller and sleeve. (Make sure the white Teflon seal is in place). Using wrench to tighten up the stud bold. Install the motor fan. Install the motor fan cover. Install O-ring onto pressure tank. (Make sure the groove holding O-ring is clean)
- Page 6 Install the pressure tank. Tighten up the stud bolts. (arrow on top position)
