This section contains the necessary information in
order to properly operate the air conditioner and the
Q3 control once the initial startup sequence has been
completed.

WARNING: FIRE AND/OR EXPLOSION
HAZARD .
R-410A refrigerant systems operate at higher
pressures than standard R-22 systems. Do not use
R-22 to service the equipment or components on
R-410A refrigerant equipment. Failure to obey this
warning could result in death or serious injury.

WARNING: BREATHING HAZARD . Failure to
obey these warnings could result in death or
serious injury .
• Refrigerants are heavier than air. They can "push out"
the oxygen in your lungs in an enclosed space. To
avoid possible death or difficulty breathing:
– Never sniff a refrigerant.
– Never purge refrigerant into an enclosed room or
space. All refrigerants must, by law, be reclaimed.
– If an indoor leak is suspected, thoroughly ventilate
the area before beginning work.
• Never burn refrigerant as poisonous gas will be
produced.
• Always follow EPA guidelines.

WARNING: BURN HAZARD .
Liquid refrigerant can be very cold. To avoid
possible frostbite or blindness, avoid contact
and wear gloves and goggles. If liquid refrigerant
does contact your skin or eyes, get medical help
immediately. Failure to obey this warning could
result in death or serious injury.
This unit is factory charged with the required

amount of refrigerant. If refrigerant recharging is
required, call Dometic for the proper amount of
refrigerant required for this system.

The electrical power source must agree with the
units' data plate rating. Check the tightness of all of
the electrical connections. Ensure all barriers and
covers are in place at this point.
