16. TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem
The tumble dry-
er does not op-
erate.
Unsatisfactory
drying result.
Possible cause
1)
The tumble dryer is not connected
to the mains supply.
The door is open.
The On/Off button was not push-
ed.
The Start/Pause button was not
touched.
The appliance is in standby mode.
Incorrect program selection.
The filter is clogged.
Dryness Level option was set to
Iron Dry .
The load was too large.
Load size is small.
Selected drying time for Time Dry
option was to short.
The airflow slots are clogged.
Dirt on the humidity sensor in the
drum.
Dryness level not set to desired
level.
The condenser is clogged.
Remedy
Connect to the mains socket.
Check fuse in fuse box (domestic
installation).
Close the door.
Push the On/Off button.
Touch the Start/Pause button.
Push the On/Off button.
Select a suitable program.

Clean the filter.
Change Dryness Level option to
higher level.
Do not exceed the maximum load
size.
Select time programme. The time
value must be related to the load.
To dry 1 item or a few wet items up
to 4 kg after a washing cycle with
well centrifuged (>1200 rpm), set a
short drying time (>40 min).
If the time is set to less than 10
min, there will be action of cool air
only (no drying).
Select time programme and set
additional drying (20 - 40 min) to
improve dryness after previous
drying cycle.
Clean the airflow slots at the bot-
tom of the appliance.
Clean the front surface of the
drum.
Adjust the dryness level.
Clean the condenser.
