Water Connection (where applicable);
The water connection is 15mm copper and is situated at the rear of the appliance below the main body frame.
The number of water inlets varies to client's particular needs. Water isolation valves are fitted to all water
inlets. Ensure water is flushed through before final connection.Water waste outlet is located on the left hand
side of the waste gutter of the appliance (50mm connection). The water inlets and water drains should be
connected with rigid copper pipes. We do not recommend the usage of plastic/PVC piping for connection of
waste outlet.

Combustible Surfaces;

NOTES:
The clearances may be reduced where an exhaust system over the gas appliance has re extinguishing
1
provisions.
For other commercial catering equipment, refer to the manufacturer's relevant instructions.

6.10.2.3 Clearances around commercial catering equipment
The clearance to combustible surfaces from commercial catering equipment shall comply
with the relevant requirements of the gas appliance manufacturer and be no less than as
shown in Table 6.9.
(a)
Above the cooking surface of a gas appliance not covered in Table 6.8
(b)
Subject to (c), from a cooking surface area having an open ame and no
means of preventing cooking vessels from overhanging the edge of the gas
appliance.
(c)
From the side of an open ame gas appliance, where the combustible
surface is at least 100 mm below a cooking surface area
(d)
From a gas appliance ueway or rear of a gas appliance with a
'splashback'
(e)
From the rear or side of a gas appliance which is not an open ame gas
cooking appliance
NOTES:
The cooking surface area is de ned as being that part of the gas appliance where cooking normally
1
takes place and does not include those parts of the gas appliance containing control knobs.
Example: If a timber preparation table is adjacent to a commercial range, and the table has a
2
combustible surface that is 100 mm below the hob, then 50 mm clearance is required from the range.
Any combustible surface higher than that would need to have at least 250 mm clearance, or be
protected.
These clearances do not apply where an adjacent surface is of a non- combustible material or is
3
combustible but is protected with re resistant material. The re resistant material may be covered
by ceramic tiles or stainless steel to meet appropriate requirements relating to health protection.
Care should be taken where a combustible surface is covered by a non-combustible material . For
4
example, covering a combustible surface with stainless steel will not prevent heat transfer, and in
some circumstances a hazardous situation could arise.
Refer to Clause 6.3.7 for requirements regarding gas appliances above a source of cooking vapour,
5
steam or grease.
