Operation with open flue combustion equipment

When installing domestic ventilation
systems together with open flue com-
bustion equipment (open flue gas
fired boilers or open fireplaces),
ensure that the operation of the
domestic ventilation system does not
create negative pressure.

Operation with cooker hoods and extract air dryers

Never link up extractor fans and
extract air dryers and the ventilation
equipment pipework.

Clearance dimensions

When installing the device ensure,
that its front can be fully opened for
maintenance purposes (min. 500 mm
clearance in front of the device).

Installation conditions

The ventilation air and extract air
device can be installed in any dry
location inside the house that is free
from the risk of frost, where the low
operating noise will not cause any nui-
sance in the living space. The power
supply must be made via a correctly
earthed standard socket with its own
fuse protection and a condensate
drain. The remote control unit can be
fitted anywhere in the house (max.
cable length: 50 m).
14
The pressure drop in the installation
room may be up to 0.04 mbar. A
higher pressure drop could cause the
return flow of flue gases, if the ventila-
tion system and the open flue equip-
ment are operated simultaneously. In
such cases, install an interlocking cir-
cuit.
Design cooker hoods as re-circulating
or expelled air extractors.
