    Hardware of the iTN201 includes the chassis, power supply, fan, Main Control Card (MCC), subcards, and cables. The iTN201 uses -48 VDC power, or 220 VAC power, or hybrid AC/DC power. For both AC power and DC power, it supports 1+1 power backup.

    2.1 iTN201-4GF 2.1.1 Functions The iTN201-4GF is a main service access and processing unit of the iTN201. It accesses and processes up to 12 ways of downlink Ethernet services and 4 ways of 1000 Mbit/s uplink Ethernet services. The iTN201-4GF is inserted into the main control card slot only.

    Before installing and operating the iTN201, check accessories contained in the packing box based on the shipping list. The followings are cables required for the iTN201. Some cables are not delivered with the iTN201. If required, prepare them based on the cable specifications.

  • Page 26 4.3 Configuration cable 4.3.1 Introduction The configuration cable is used to connect the Console interface on the iTN201 to the PC that runs terminal emulation program. You can configure the iTN201 through command lines. Before accessing the iTN201 through the USB interface, install the driver on the PC for converting the USB interface to the UART interface.
  • Page 27 4.4 DC power cable 4.4.1 Introduction The DC power cable transmits -48 VDC power to the RPD0601 cable terminal block of the iTN201, and supplies power for the whole device. 4.4.2 Appearance A DC power cable is composed of DC connectors and coaxial cable, as shown in Figure 4-7.
