Put the heat sink on the processor and fix the heat sink with four screws.
Temporarily tighten the four screws diagonally, then tighten them securely.
Make sure that the screw aligns with the screw hole. If not, the screw may damage the motherboard.

Make sure that the heat sink is installed on a level with the motherboard.
14.
When additional processor is installed, you need install an additional fan unit provided with the
additional CPU board. See Chapter 2 (1.16 Redundant Fan Unit – Additional fan unit for additional
processor (CPU).
15.
Continue to install or remove internal optional devices, mount and connect the server, and turn it on.
16.
Run BIOS Setup Utility (SETUP) to confirm the following settings. See Chapter 2 (1. System BIOS) in
"Maintenance Guide".
Advanced → Processor Configuration → Processor Information
Note
Make sure the location to put the heat sink.
• If the heat sink is not level, remove it, and then install it again.
Note
The following probably causes the heat sink not to be level:
– The CPU is not positioned correctly.
– All screws are not completely tightened.
• Do not move the secured heat sink.
