How to use the garbage disposer DSP-100H-AWV
Please read the separate User s Manual carefully before use.

Drop food waste into the garbage disposer.

Insert the plug switch in the disposer opening.

Turn the plug switch to the right to turn ON.
●
Turn the plug switch until its △ marking
ON
aligns with the ON position. The buzzer
will sound a beep and the water supply
to the inside of the garbage disposer will
start automatically. After 5 seconds, the
garbage disposer will start operation.
If a metal clank or a very loud sound is heard during
operation, immediately turn the plug switch Warning

left, to the OFF position, to stop the operation.

After running water for approximately 5
seconds, turn the plug switch to the right to ON.

If a metal clank or a very loud sound is heard
during use, immediately turn the plug switch left to
Warning
the OFF position and cease operation.
How to clean
(ice cleaning)

sufficiently eliminate odors or
dirt, clean the interior according
to the procedures in pages 19 -
20 of the User s Manual.
※If foreign objects enter the grinding chamber of the garbage disposer, remove them, following the procedures in page 14 of the User s Manual.
In this case, do not force

a large amount of food
waste into the disposer.
See the disposal amount
line illustrated below.
●
The garbage disposer
cannot process certain
waste. Check the list
on the back carefully.
●
Place it with the △ marking
aligned with the OFF position
of the disposer opening.
Turn the plug switch until the △
m a r k i n g a l i g n s w i t h t h e O N
position. A buzzer will sound and
the garbage disposer starts.
Drop 5 or 6 ice

cubes.
It is more effective to
pour a few drops of mild
kitchen detergent, lemon
juice or vinegar into the
g r i n d i n g c h a m b e r
together with ice cubes.

Water supply auto-
matically stops 10
seconds af ter the
disposer stops.

When the garbage dispos-
er is not in use, remove
the plug switch from the
disposer opening and
attach the strainer.
Foreign objects such as a spoon may fall into
the garbage disposer if the strainer has not

been attached to the disposer opening.
If the plug switch is left in the disposer
opening, wastewater may not drain efficiently.

Flush the garbage disposer all at
once with water collected in a washing-
up bowl or a pot approximately two
to three times a week. This will clean
the drain pipe.
Remove the strainer from the disposer opening to
drain collected water.After draining collected water,
make sure that no foreign objects have fallen into

the grinding chamber and attach the strainer to the
disposer opening.

disposer while running
the water.
