Carriage rollers
Please note that carriage rollers are of
different types. One pair has an eccentrically
oriented shaft and the second pair has a
centred shaft.
The eccentric shaft makes it possible to
adjust the contact to the track, which is
described below. The adjuster rollers are
those that appear at the top of the illustra-
tion, while the fixed rollers are concealed.
Tools
The hook spanner 531 12 30-74 is used for
work on the saw carriage.
Adjusting the rollers
Daily inspection
It is particularly important for sawing results
that the rollers' contact with the track is
checked and adjusted where necessary. The
rollers must be flush to the track without
any clearance.
Adjustment
1. Loosen the two socket nuts a quarter turn
with the hook spanner 531 12 30-74.
2. Loosen the two locking screws one turn
with a 3 mm Allen key.
3. Turn the two rollers, in an outward or
inward direction, with a 16 mm wrench so
that they rest on the track.
4. Keep the rollers in position and tighten
the socket nuts with the hook spanner.
5. Screw in the locking screws.
Inspection
Press the runner latch in and push the carriage
back and forth on the track. It must run
evenly and with a slight resistance. You must
be able to slow the rollers using a heavy
hand force when inspecting.
