Safety Warnings The NAS can operate normally in the temperature of 0ºC–40ºC (32ºF -104ºF) and relative humidity of 5%–95%. Please make sure the environment is well-ventilated. The power cord and devices connected to the NAS must provide correct supply voltage (100W, 90–264V). -

Chapter 4. LED and Alarm Buzzer Specifications The LED indicators of the NAS indicate the system status and information. When the NAS is turned on, check the following items to make sure the system status is normal. When installing two memory modules, it is recommended to use the same size and ideally use the same type/model for both slots. QNAP provides different RAM modules (optional purchase) for users to upgrade the memory of their NAS. Follow these steps to install an extra memory module on the NAS. - Page 27 The above figure is shown as demonstration only. 2. Remove the case cover of the NAS. 3. Unplug the cable that is connected to the motherboard, loosen the screw on the fan module, press down the hook and then pull out the module.
- Page 28 4. Pull the retention clips on each side so that the module can be removed. Remove the installed memory modules. Note: The maximum supported memory is 32GB combined. 5. Press down the memory module to the slot and until it clips into place. Ensure the memory module sits properly with the clips in place.
- Page 29 6. Reinstall the fan module and reconnect the cable to the motherboard, Close the case cover and fasten the screws. Connect the power adaptor and cables back to the NAS. 7. To check that the memory module is recognized by the NAS, power up the NAS and log into the web interface as an administrator.

Grasp the edge of the expansion card. Align the notch on the gold edge of the card with the notch in the PCIe slot.
