6-2. Load Wheel.

6-2.1. Removal
1.
Engage the emergency power disconnect switch
and turn off key switch.
2.
Block the drive wheel to prevent the vehicle from
rolling.
3.
Jack up the vehicle to raise the load wheels off
the floor. Securely block the vehicle in the raised
position by positioning supports under both fork
tips.
4.
Remove four screws and cover.
5.
Remove nut, washer and load wheel.
6.
Remove seal from load wheel.
7.
Remove bearings from load wheel.
8.
Inspect bearings and replace if necessary.
6-2.2. Installation
1.
Pack bearings with grease.
1.
Reassemble bearings in wheel.
2.
Install seal from load wheel.
3.
Position load wheel in the axle and install washer
and nut. Tighten nut until there is a slight drag on
load wheel. Secure nut with tab on washer.

4.
Install cover and secure with four screws.
5.
Remove the blocking from under the vehicle and
lower it to the ground.
6.
Disengage the emergency power disconnect
switch and turn on key switch.

6-3. Drive Wheel.

1.
Engage the emergency power disconnect switch
and turn off key switch.
2.
Jack up the vehicle to gain access to the drive
wheel; then securely block the vehicle to prevent
movement.
3.
Remove the five mounting screws and five lock
washers.
4.
Remove drive wheel.
5.
Install new drive wheel in reverse order of
removal.

6-4. Caster.

Casters provide additional stability. Installation of the
casters is shown in and repair parts are shown in
ure
11-4.
