OPERATING YOUR HEATER
ROOM HEATER
ROOM TEMPERATURE CONTROL
During normal operation, the heater will show "C," "P," or "A" on the display, followed by a number. This
number is the current room temperature as read by the heater's room temperature sensor.
Push the up or down arrow button to view the temperature set point. This number indicates the
temperature setting for the room. If the set point shown is too high, use the down arrow to turn it down. If
it is too low, use the up arrow to turn it up. The heater will adjust its fan speed automatically to maintain the
room temperature set point.
CHARGING THE BRICK CORE
The heater charges the brick core based on the outdoor temperature (automatic charge control) or the
homeowner's preference (manual charge control).
If the heater is configured for automatic charge control, the heater will charge according to outdoor
temperature and energy usage. There is no user input required. Automatic charge control requires an
outdoor sensor.
If the heater is configured for manual charge control, press and release the M button once, and the display
will show "Edit" "CorE." It will flash between "CorE" and the percentage of core charge desired. Set the
percentage based on how much heat will be needed to get through the next peak period.
MAINTENANCE & CLEANING
This heating system is maintenance-free. To clean the outer
surface of the heater, use a non-abrasive cleanser such as Soft
Scrub© with bleach. Only clean the outer surface of the heater
when it is cool to the touch.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If the heater displays an error code or is not responding to
inputs, contact your local dealer. To find a dealer near you, visit
www.steffes.com
and type in your postal code on the ETS dealer
locator page.
