6. How to Use 6-1. Loading Batteries Set or replace the batteries with the following procedure. (1) Rotate the screw on the battery lid on the back of the main unit counterclockwise using a blade screwdriver or a coin until it comes free and then remove the lid. - Page 6 6-4. Connecting the Temperature Probe (1) While the unit is turned off, insert the probe connector into the unit by aligning the convex part of the probe connector with the concave part of the connector on the unit. (2) Turn the nut of the probe connector clockwise to secure the connector. (3) To disconnect the probe, turn the nut counterclockwise to remove it.
