OPERATING YOUR KE 8110 CH KETTLE
BEFORE FIRST USE
Before first use, remove all packaging
and advertising labels / stickers from the
appliance. Before using the kettle for the first
time, allow the kettle to boil clean water. Fill
the cattle with clean water, bring to a boil
and then pour the water out. Repeat this
procedure 3 to 4 times. The kettle is then
ready for use. Your kettle will only operate
correctly if placed on its base connected to an
electric outlet. As soon as the water boils, the
kettle will switch off automatically.
USING YOUR KETTLE
1. To fill the kettle with water, remove it
from its base and press the handle to
open the lid. This will release the lid
safety switch. Fill the kettle with the
required amount of water. Do not fill
the kettle below the minimum or above
the maximum level mark. Lack of water
would lead to turning the kettle off
before boiling. If the kettle is overfilled,
the boiling water might splash out.
2. Closed lid and make sure it's firmly
secured. Place the kettle on its base.
Insert the mains cord plug into a power
socket. A short acoustic signal will sound.
The display will light, showing the current
temperature inside the kettle.
3. Press the
button to turn the kettle
on. The display will show "HEAT". Press +
or – to set the required temperature. You
can set the temperature in the range of
40°C to 100°C with 5°C increments. If no
required temperature is set, the kettle
will heat water to 100°C.
4. The kettle will start after the set
temperature has flashed three times on
the display. The display will show the
increasing temperature step-by-step
while the heating is in progress.
NOTE
If the difference between the newly
set temperature and the kettle water
temperature is less than 5°C, the kettle
will not start. In such case, either
increase the set temperature or wait
until the kettle water temperature has
decreased.
NOTE
Never fill the kettle if it is located on
the base. Do not fill the kettle below
the minimum or above the maximum
level mark. Lack of water would lead
to turning the kettle off before boiling.
If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water
may splash out.
NOTE
This kettle should be used only with
the supplied base. When pouring out
water from the kettle, be careful to
avoid scalding with hot water. Do not
pour water too fast.
5. As soon as the water boils the kettle will
turn off automatically and an acoustic
alert will sound. Remove the kettle from
its base and press the lid lock to pour
