    This sect ion will guide you t o inst all t he rout er t hrough hardware connect ion and conf igure t he rout er’ s set t ings t hrough web browser. Bef ore st art ing t o conf igure t he rout er, you have t o connect your devices correct ly.

    The Vigor2962 Series can be mount ed on t he shelf or on t he wall by using st andard bracket s shown below. Here we t ake mount ed on t he wall as an example. Choose a f lat surf ace (on t he wall) which is suit able f or placing t he rout er. Make t he screw holes on t he short side of t he bracket aim at t he screw holes on t he rout er.

    To access Int ernet , pl ease f inish basic conf igurat ion af t er complet ing t he hardware inst allat ion. 1. Make sure your PC connect s t o t he rout er correct ly. Note You may eit her simply set up your comput er t o get IP dynamically f rom t he rout er or set up t he IP address of t he comput er t o be t he same subnet as the default IP address of Vigor router...
  • Page 13 3. Now, t he Main Screen will pop up. 4. Open WAN>>Internet Access . Cl ick Details Page of WAN1/ WAN2. Here, we t ake WAN1 as an example. There are t wo access modes f or you t o conf igure. Choose PPPoE , Static or Dynamic IP according t o t he access mode of f ered by your ISP.
  • Page 14 Click Details Page of WAN1. When t he f oll owing page appears, choose PPPoE . Af t er clicking Enable and ent ering t he Username/ Password provided by your ISP, click OK t o get t he f ollowing page. To reboot t he syst em, click OK again.
  • Page 15 Lat er, Vigor syst em will reboot . Please login Vigor rout er again. Then, you can enj oy surf ing on t he Int ernet .
  • Page 16 Click Details Page of WAN1. When t he f oll owing page appears, choose Static or Dynamic IP . Af t er clicking Enable , select Obtain an IP address automatically . Click OK t o get t he f ollowing page.
