    Safety instructions GENERAL POWER TOOL SAFETY WARNING WARNING! Read safety warnings, instructions, illustrations and specifications provided with this power tool. Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury. Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.

  • Page 12 a) Maintain a firm grip with both hands on the saw and position your arms to resist kickback forces. Position your body to either side of the blade, but not in line with the blade. Kickback could cause the saw to jump backwards, but kickback forces can be controlled by the operator, if proper precautions are taken.
  • Page 13 Lower guard function a) Check lower guard for proper closing before each use. Do not operate the saw if lower guard does not move freely and close instantly. Never clamp or tie the lower guard into the open position. If saw is accidentally dropped, lower guard may be bent.

    Assembly Unpacking Unpack all parts and lay them on a flat, stable surface. 1. Remove all packing materials and shipping devices, if applicable. 2. Make sure the delivery contents are complete and free of any damage. If you find that parts are missing or show damage do not use the product but contact your dealer.

    Intended use This product is intended for straight cuts in wood and similar material e.g. MDF and chipboard, with the installed blade. The product must not be used for cutting logs. The product must be used in an upright position only with the base plate lying flat on the workpiece.
  • Page 29 2. Loosen the fixation lever (20a) and adjust the base plate to the desired depth. Use the depth scale (20b) as a guide. 3. Tighten the fixation lever (20a) to secure the cutting depth. NOTE: The values shown on the depth scale are only valid for cutting at 90°/0°! For bevel cuts the cutting depth will be smaller than indicated and should be determined by trial cut.

    Care & maintenance WARNING! Always switch the product off, disconnect the product from the power supply and let the product cool down before performing inspection, maintenance and cleaning work! Only perform care and maintenance work according to these instructions! All further works must be performed by a qualified specialist! Clean 1.
