2. INTRODUCTION

4. OPERATION
4.1.
ATTACHING LAMP TO BONNET.
4.1.1. the lamp will need to be charged before each use.
4.1.2. to charge the lamp, use either the in-car charger, or the mains charger. Low charge is indicated by a red lamp, which turns green once
charged.
4.1.3 fold the lamp out straight, tighten the thumbwheel (see fig.2.). Place the padded hook at the end of the lamp, over one edge of the bonnet,
and gently pull the lamp towards the other side of the bonnet.
4.1.4. steady the lamp with one hand, whilst extending the hook over the other side of the bonnet.
4.1.5. to use the lamp, select one of the two brightness settings using the switch on the end of the lamp.
4.1.6. When finished, disconnect the transformer plug from the mains supply, fold up and store the lamp in a safe, dry and childproof
location.
NOTE the lamp will not operate whilst being charged.
5. MAINTENANCE
5.1.
Keep lamp clean and check for damage before every use. If damage is observed, remove from use until unit is repaired.
5.2.
Before the unit is disposed of at the end of its life, it is a requirement that the battery is removed. refer to the battery removal section below.
Environmental Protection.
recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as
waste. All tools, accessories and packaging should be sorted,
taken to a recycle centre and disposed of in a manner which
is compatible with the environment.
remove the 4 screws on the side of the lamp, adjacent to the switch. Pull the casing apart. Pull the hook outwards,
exposing the end plate screw, undo this to release the battery. Dispose of battery according to local government
guidelines.
