6 Electrical Installation

Remove power from the transmitter and receiver before performing any electrical installation or maintenance.
6.1 Receiver Electrical Installation
6.1.1 Receiver Power Supply Requirements
The receiver requires a voltage supply of 18–32 Vdc (nominal 24 Vdc). Peak current for receiver is max. 0.6 A. Inrush current
for receiver is 0.3 A for less than 20 ms.

The heat-up period lasts approx. 20 min. At lower ambient temperature the internal heater is active and power consumption
may reach up to 15 W.
Ensure that the minimum required supply voltage 18 VDC is present at the receiver, taking into account the voltage drop
due to cable resistance.

Make allowance for the insertion loss resistance.

CAUTION
!
The receiver 24 V power supply and 4-20 mA current loop power supply must be of an isolating type (galvanic isolation
from mains, providing basic insulation) but does not need to be a Class II (SELV) power supply.
CAUTION

If mains voltage is connected to more than one relay, all relays must be connected to the same phase of the mains network.
Using different phases is not allowed.
CAUTION
!
Temperature rating of the cable connected to the terminal shall be suitable with respect to the installation environment.
