Establishing a Serial Connection
To establish a serial connection, connect your MOBIC
(RS–232 port) via a serial cable to the COM port of your
host computer and follow the instructions
on the screen.
To exchange data between your host computer and your MOBIC, you require Microsoft ActiveSync.
Microsoft ActiveSync
1. Insert the MOBIC CD in the CD-ROM drive of the
host computer.
2. Start the Setup.exe in the \ActiveSync folder
of the MOBIC CD.
3. Follow the instructions displayed on your host computer.
The MOBIC has now been detected and you can establish the partnership.
1. You can now continue to follow the instructions of the installation routine on the host computer.
2. Follow the instructions on the screen until the installation is completed.
Once ActiveSync has been successfully installed, the ActiveSync help system is available to you on your host computer.
