Operation
Switching On Your Unit
•
Before connecting the unit to the mains supply, make sure that the
Temperature Control Dial is set at "0" (OFF) position.
•
Turn the Temperature Control Dial to set it to the desired temperature,
with the MID position as the ideal temperature. MAX is the coldest
whereas MIN is the least cold.
- Power Indicator: switches on and off as the unit switches on and off
- Running Indicator: switches on and off as the unit maintains its internal
temperature
- Alarm Indicator: lights up when the unit's internal temperature rises above -9°C

To ensure that the unit is cool enough to sufficiently chill and freeze your food, wait 24 hours
before filling it with food.
•
If you are concerned that your unit is not being kept cold enough and wish to check
the temperature, you will need a special thermometer. These are available from most
supermarkets and hardware shops. Place the thermometer in the freezer and leave overnight.
The correct temperature for the freezer should be -18°C or lower.
Adjusting the Temperature
MAX position makes the appliance the coldest. MIN position makes the appliance the least
cold. "0" position turns off the unit. The recommended position is MID but should be adjusted
according to its environment. The appliance may not operate correctly if it is in a particularly hot
or cold room or if the door is opened often or for prolonged periods. Please adjust according to
the environment.
The table below provides general guidelines on the storage of food in the freezer.
