Before you begin installing your PowerEdge system in the rack, carefully read the
"Safety Instructions" found earlier in this guide.

Although no tools are required to install the slide assemblies, you will find the follow-
ing items make the installation easier:

A #2 Phillips screwdriver

An installation template, helpful in slide assembly placement and alignment

Masking tape or a felt-tip pen, for use in marking the mounting holes to be used
RapidRails slide
assemblies (1 pair)*
4-U template (1)
6-32 x 0.25-inch hex-head
Phillips screws (5)
