Print
Print is made in the order of yellow (Y), magenta (M), and cyan (C). SOC (IC103) sends the image data
stored in SDRAM to an internal coprocessor. The coprocessor performs image processing, such as
gamma, masking, sharpness, and thermal storage correction, to the sent data. This operation is done
during print. Data is transferred to a printer-dedicated circuit (IC301) one line at a time while creating the
one-plane final print image of Y, M, or C to be printed. IC301 converts the received data into a PWM
signal, and then transfers it to the thermal head and prints an image in print paper.
Infrared remote controller
The SIRCS data received on the DP-407G board is input to IC103 via the wired remote control terminal
on the IF-990G board. Data is received by the software processing based on interrupt.
REMOTE2 remote controller
Data is input from the IF-990G board to IC103. It is received by software.
RS-232C
Data is sent and received using UART of SOC (IC103) by software control. A DC voltage level is
converted using RS-232C interfaces IC908 and IC909.
Memory Stick port
The memory stick port of SOC (IC103) is provided for separate upgrading. Firmware is written using
this port when upgrading was not completed because the power was turned off during ordinary upgrading
from a menu.
The memory stick mounted on the front panel of products is connected to IC1101. IC103 is designed to
be upgraded via IC1101 during ordinary upgrading from a menu. To use this port directly connected to
IC103, reconnect FFC, connected to CN1458 on the IF-988G board, to CN905. (Refer to Section 2-5 for
upgrading.)
EEPROM control
EEPROM (IC115) in which each setting value is saved is connected via an IIC bus using general-purpose
ports of SOC (IC103).
General-purpose I/O ports
Signal connection at each I/O port of SOC (IC103)
