Using Integrated Devices

his chapter describes the configuration software pro-
vided with your system for the following integrated
devices:

Video controller

Audio controller

Network interface controller (NIC)
See the corresponding section in this chapter for the
device you want to configure or reconfigure.

ideo Controller
Your system has an S3 Trio64V+ 86C765 video control-
ler, which includes video drivers for the following
operating systems:
Microsoft Windows 3.1x and Windows for
Workgroups
Microsoft Windows 95
Microsoft Windows NT Workstation and Server
The video drivers for your operating system have already
been installed on your hard-disk drive. For information
on reinstalling video drivers, see "Using Drivers and
Utilities" in your online System User's Guide. For
instructions on changing to a different video driver, see
your operating system documentation.

udio Controller
Your system has a Crystal CS4236 audio controller and
includes audio drivers for the following operating
systems:
Microsoft Windows 3.1x and Windows for
Workgroups
Microsoft Windows 95
Microsoft Windows NT Workstation and Server
The audio drivers for your operating system have already
been installed on your hard-disk drive. For information
on reinstalling audio drivers, reconfiguring the audio
controller, or using the audio utilities provided with your
system, see "Using the Integrated Audio Controller" in
your online System User's Guide.

IC
This section describes how to connect your computer
system to an Ethernet network using the built-in 3Com
Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI) 3C905TX
NIC, which uses the 3C916 chip. The NIC provides all
the functions normally provided by a separate network
expansion card.
