Each system uses a high-performance Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI) design that allows you to configure the computer system to your initial requirements and then add Dell- supported upgrades as necessary. These systems also support the Industry-Standard Architecture (ISA) bus for older expansion devices.
Page 26
The primary and secondary interface are both located on the PCI bus to provide faster data throughput. Each interface supports high-capacity Dell OptiPlex GX i Low-Profile Systems Reference and Installation Guide EIDE drives, as well as devices such as EIDE CD-ROM drives and EIDE tape drives.
The Dell Inspector utility provides you with the informa- tion you may need if you call Dell for technical assistance. It also provides you with the information you may need when you install hardware or software in your system.
