IGMP Snooping
The DES-1252 uses IGMP Snooping to analyze data packets
and forward them through only where appropriate. This
means that multicast packets, such as streaming audio
and video or other bandwidth hogs, get through without
creating extra network congestion. This smart packet
management also reduces the workload of other devices
further down the line, making your entire network function
more efficiently.
802.1x Authentication
The DES-1252 utilizes 802.1x Authentication to provide a
secure means to allow users to log onto your network.
When used in conjunction with a RADIUS server, 802.1x
requires each user to provide a username and password
before accessing your network.
Smart Console Utility
Inlcuded with all D-Link Web Smart Switches is an exclusive
smart console utility that allows all D-Link Smart Switches to
be discovered automatially with just a click of the button.
