Sending location information to the camera from a smartphone/tablet

You can acquire location information from a smartphone, and write it on images afterwards.
You can write location information sent from a smartphone on images by using [Location Logging] in
the [Playback] menu of the camera.
1 Synchronize the times
2 Start recording location information
3 Start recording images
4 Finish recording the location information
5 Send the location information
6 Write the location information using [Location Logging] in the [Playback] menu
Operate the smartphone

Connect to a smartphone.

Select [Geotagging].

Select an icon.
Starts/stops recording location information.
Before you start recording location information, perform [Time sync].
The smartphone battery drains faster while location information is being recorded.
When recording of location information is not necessary, stop it.
Sends location information.
Follow the on-screen messages to operate the smartphone.
Cautions for Use:
Be sure to pay special attention to the privacy, the likeness rights, etc. of the subject when
you use this function. Use at your own risk.
If you have changed the clock setting of this unit or the smartphone after [Time sync], perform
[Time sync] again.
On the smartphone, you can set the acquisition interval of location information and check the
transfer status of location information.
Refer to [Help] in the "Image App" menu for details.
