CHOOSING A POWER SUPPLY This radio can be operated using: 4 Alkaline UM-1 (D size) batteries or AC power (230V/50 Hz or 240V/50 Hz) AC operation Before you plug the AC cord into the radio be sure the AC voltage is 230 Volts/50 Hz (European version)/240 Volts/50 Hz (Australian version).

Power with batteries ● INSTALLING BATTERIES . Position the radio face down on a soft surface to protect it. 2. Press the catch and pull out the battery compartment cover. 3. Insert 4 UM-1 (D size) batteries as indicated in the drawing on the right hand side.
Clock time setting After the batteries are installed or AC power is plugged in, the screen will display all icons, then the display will show -:--. . Clock time can be set while radio is on or off. 2. Press and hold the Clock set button, the hour digits will flash, press the Tuning Up/Down (or use the Tuning control rotary) to adjust the required hour time.

3. Now the minute digit will flash on the display. Press the Tuning up/down button to adjust the required minute. Then press the Alarm button again to complete the alarm setting. Once the alarm is set, it will automatically go off the next day at the same time. Note: ●...
Snooze (only available in alarm buzzer) . When the alarm buzzer sounds, press any button other than the Standby button will silence the alarm for 5 minutes. “ “ will appear on the display. 2. To cancel the snooze timer while the alarm is suspended, press the Standby button.
Radio operation This radio features 2 bands: AM and FM. Manual Tuning . Press the Power button to turn on the radio. 2. Select the desired band by pressing the Band button. 3. Press the Tuning up/down button to tune the frequency up or down. Scan Tuning .

Memory Tuning Five stations may be stored in memory in each band. . Tune to the station you want to memorize. 2. Press and hold the desired Preset Button until you hear a beep. The station or channel is then memorized. The display will show the preset number.
Stereo/Mono switching If the FM radio station via the headphone has a weak signal, some hiss may be audible. It is possible to reduce this hiss by forcing the radio to play the station in mono rather than stereo. . Tune to the required FM station as previously described. 2.
Treble and Bass The sound on your radio can be adjusted to suit your personal taste for the material that you are listening to. Rotate the treble control or bass control to adjust to your liking. Display Light Display Light on AC Power When the radio is plugged into AC power, the display light will always be on unless you turn it off.
Headphone socket A 3.5mm stereo Headphone Socket is provided on the right hand side of your digital receiver for use with headphones. Inserting a plug automatically mutes the internal loudspeaker.
