Cleaning Recommendations

When cleaning the probe, take care not to scratch or damage the platinized electrode surfaces.
Contaminant Cleaning Solution
Water soluble substances Deionized water
Grease & Oil Warm water and household
detergent
Heavy grease & Oil Alcohol
Lime and hydroxide 10% acetic acid
coatings

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause
Reading is frozen Unit is in "HOLD" mode
"BAT" message Batteries are low
Unit will not calibrate in Contaminated conductivity
conductivity mode standards
Unit will not calibrate in Dirty probe
conductivity mode
Unit will not calibrate in Damaged conductivity probe
conductivity mode
Unit will not calibrate in Trapped air bubbles
conductivity mode
Unit will not turn on Batteries are low or dead
Unit will not turn on Batteries installed with
incorrect polarity
Unit will not respond to Internal fault
any key presses

Instructions
Soak or scrub gently with a
soft brush. Rinse thoroughly
with DI water, and dry
Soak or scrub with a soft
brush, maximum of 10
minutes. Rinse thoroughly
with DI water, and dry
Maximum of 5 minute soak,
scrub with a soft brush.
Rinse thoroughly with DI
water, and dry
Soak until coating dissolved,
maximum of 5 minutes. .
Rinse thoroughly with DI
water, and dry.
Action
Press MODE/HOLD key to
exit "HOLD" mode
Replace batteries
Use fresh standards
Clean conductivity probe
(See cleaning instructions)
Replace electrode
Tap or stir to release air
bubbles
Replace batteries
Replace batteries,
observe polarity
Perform hard reboot:
Remove batteries, hold
ON/OFF switch down for 5
seconds, replace batteries
