    oVErVIEW The MetalliScanner x8 metal locator is designed for finding metal in standard residential, ® commercial, and industrial construction and automatically differentiates between ferrous (steel, iron, etc .) and non-ferrous (aluminum, copper, etc .) metal .     1. INSTaLLING THE BaTTErIES This tool requires 3 new AAA (LR03) batteries . To install or replace the batteries, locate the battery door on the lower backside of the tool . Using a Phillips size #1 screwdriver, unscrew the screw and lift up the battery door compartment .

    Medium High The tool will always wake up in the Low Sensitivity (1) setting . In Low Sensitivity, the target needs to be very large or fairly close to the surface before an indication is given . This sensitivity level is best suited for environments with high metal content . Always perform the initial scans in the Low Sensitivity default setting .

    To open the hatch to attach the handle, press upwards on the dimpled area and lift up gently . Align the handle so that the button on the tip of the handle is flush against the hatch door . Push down gently until it snaps securely in place . To remove the handle, hold the tool down with one hand and pull the base of the handle upwards .

    (Example: Ferrous) 9 . The tool will need to process over the center of the target first and when it returns to the point with the strongest signal, the Target icon will display . If the Sound is on, the tool will also beep intermittently when you are over the center of the target .

    Pour ouvrir la porte et fixer le manche, poussez vers le haut sur la zone alvéolée et soulevez doucement la porte . Placez le manche de manière à ce que le bouton situé sur son extrémité soit au même niveau que la porte de l´ouverture . Appuyez doucement jusqu´à ce qu´il soit solidement en place .
