15. Avoid working from awkward or off balance positions. Do not overreach during cutting operation; keep both feet on floor. Never lean over or reach over the blade and never pull the work piece over the blade from behind. Use outfeed support or have an assistant help when ripping long material. 16.

7. Assembling Assemble the miter gauge without any tools, proceed as following steps: 1. Rotate the clamp handle into the gauge body, then lock the gauge body . 2. As shown in Fig. 2, slide the fence onto the dovetail lock block (B) on the gauge body, and secure it by using the the knobs (A) and the dovetail lock block (B) 3.
8.2 Adjusting the Miter Angles (1) Using the positive stops The miter gauge has 7 commonly used positive stops: 0°, ±22.5°, ±45° and ± 60°. As shown in Fig.4, loosen the clamp handle, then rotate the miter gauge body to the desired angle while keeping the swing locating block (A) pressed.

(2) Positioning the flip stop (Fig. 6) The flip stop assembly can be moved to left or right by loosening the locking knob (A) and positioned by reading the location of the indicator (D). After tightening the flip stop assembly, you can micro-adjust the position of the flip stop (±3mm / 1/8”).
Users can make a wooden sub fence as required. As shown in Fig. 9, you can secure the sub fence on the aluminum fence of MG-36 by using the countersunk head screw and rectangular nut. (6 sets of screws and nuts are recommended for securing).
9. Calibration The miter gauge has been factory calibrated for use on the machine. Due to the machine difference, the perpendicularity between fence and blade should be re-checked. If you need to do the calibration again, just follow the steps below (Fig.10): (1) Adjust the blade to the highest position at 90°.
10. Maintenance (1) Periodically check the perpendicularity between fence and blade according to Chapter 9. (2) Periodically check if any deviation occurs between the indicator and the graduation on the dial (visual inspection at 0°). The following three possible reasons may lead to the deviation (Fig. 11): Looseness of the ball locating pin (A).

indicator and the graduation at 0°, if the deviation still exists, repeat this Step. d. Calibrate the perpendicularity between fence and blade according to Chapter 9. (3) Periodically check the surface of the ball locating pin and the groove edge of arc locating bloc, if any burrs occur, polish them with fine abrasive.
