Batteries

Replace the Batteries

NOTICE: Do not over tighten the screws. The plastic threads on the
screws can be easily damaged.
NOTE: When purchasing replacement batteries, select four 1.5 volt
AA alkaline batteries.
NOTE: If replacing the sensor, install a battery in the new sensor
unit before installing the sensor.
NOTE: It is not necessary to remove the sensor from the cap to
replace the batteries.
Using a 3/32" hex wrench, remove the two screws from the
bottom of the DC sensor.
Remove the battery holder from the DC sensor.
Using small flat-blade screwdriver (if necessary), carefully pry the
batteries from the battery holder.
NOTE: The batteries may be considered hazardous waste. Discard
the old batteries in accordance with any applicable codes.
Remove and discard the old batteries.
NOTE: Note the polarity stamped on the battery holder for proper
battery placement.
Insert the new batteries into the battery holder.
Reinstall the battery holder into the DC sensor.
