Press
the answering machine on and off.
The LCD clock and speakerphone will
continue to operate even if the unit is off,
but the machine will not play greetings or
record messages. (See page 6 to set the
ringer and page 22 to operate speaker-
phone.) The MESSAGE INDICATOR
LED will light when unit is turned on.

RING SELECT SWITCH

The RING SELECT SWITCH is located on the
back of the unit. The answering machine
is shipped with the RING SELECT SWITCH set
to 4 rings.

RING SELECT SWITCH
Set the
4, 2 or TS (tollsaver) to select the
number of rings before the TA-150
answers an incoming call.

= Answers calls on the fourth ring.

= Answers calls on the second ring.
TS
= When calling from a remote location,
tollsaver will help eliminate toll
charges by letting you know if there
are no new messages before the
TA-150 answers.
When the TA-150 is set to TS, it
answers calls after the:
Second ring = NEW messages
Fourth ring = NO new messages.
Hang up after the third ring to avoid
toll charges.
NOTE:
After you have retrieved messages, either from a
remote location or at the machine, the tollsaver will
reset to answer on the fourth ring until a new
incoming message is recorded.

You can set the TA-150 to ring like a telephone
when a call comes in and answer a call using
the built-in speakerphone or an extension
phone. The answering machine is shipped with
the ringer OFF. To turn the ringer on or off:

Make sure the TA-150 is turned ON.
(MESSAGE ON/OFF INDICATOR is lit or
flashing.) Slide the volume control
(located on the right side) to midpoint.

ERASE/FLASH
Hold
for 5 seconds.
ERASE/FLASH
Ringer On = You will hear a ringing sound
when you activate the ringer.
Ringer Off = You will hear a confirmation tone
when you deactivate the ringer.
