for nominal width M108 (Fig. 6)!
Ensure that the lever (F/Fig. 6) is in alignment with the catch (C/Fig. 6).
Otherwise the catch is not correctly engaged.
Press collar without catch (Fig. 5):
Close the press collar and then turn it to the pressing position.
6. Open the adaptor jaw.
WARNING!
Risk of injury from ejected fragments if the adaptor jaw is incorrectly
positioned on the press collar (Fig. 9).
Otherwise, there is a risk of breakage of the adaptor jaw and the press collar.
Therefore:
• The claws (G/Fig. 8) of the adaptor jaw must grip the pins (B/Fig. 8) of the
press collar (Fig. 8.).
• The markings (L/Fig. 7, 8 + 9) on the claws (G) of the adaptor jaw must be fully
covered when the press collar has been placed (Fig. 8 + 9).
7. Position the adaptor jaw on the press collar as follows (Fig. 7):
Push the claws (G/Fig. 7) of the adaptor jaw as far as possible into the grooves (H/Fig. 7) of the
press collar.
Close the adaptor jaw.
8. Check that the markings (L/Fig. 8) on the claws (G) of the adaptor jaw are fully covered.
If a marking is partially visible, the adaptor jaw must be placed again.
WARNING!
Risk of injury from ejected fragments if the adaptor jaw ZB221 + ZB222 is
not closed (Fig. 10)
Press the grip in direction of the arrow during pressing operation and not in the
opposite directions, as otherwise the adaptor jaw will open and the claws (G/Fig. 10) of
the adaptor jaw can no longer grip the pins (B/Fig. 10) properly.
Non-compliance will result in breakage of the adaptor jaw and the press collar.
CAUTION!
Loose connection through incorrect pressing
Therefore:
– During pressing operation, make sure that the press collar closes completely so
that there is no gap between the segments.
9. Perform the pressing operation
10. Open the adaptor jaw and release it from the press collar.
11. Open the press collar and remove it.
Note
for nominal width M108.0 (Fig. 6)!
Pressing of nominal width M108.0 must be completed using the adaptor jaw ZB 222,
322 or 324.
12. Insert the corresponding adaptor jaw in the press device.
13. Repeat points 6. to 10.
14. Open the press collar by pressing the lever (F/Fig. 6).
