You opened the inner cover.
An invalid key was pressed or an

the machine.
During printing, the printhead
may have become too hot.
The waste ink tank is nearly full.
The printhead is not installed
correctly.
Action
Make sure you have a new colour ink
tank ready to replace the used one
when it runs out. If the machine stops
printing when copying, press
[Resume] to continue printing.
However, note that ink may run out. If
print quality deteriorates or output is
blank, replace the ink tank.
Close the inner cover.
Wait until the machine has finished,
then turn off the machine.
If you replaced an ink tank, press [2].
If you did not, press [3].
Check the key or setting you want to
enter.
Make sure the stack is below the
paper limit mark (| t ). Then press
[Copy/Start] or [Resume].
Wait until the machine has finished,
then turn off the machine.
Divide the document and copy each
part separately.
Install the printhead.
Allow the machine to cool down. The
machine will resume printing when it
has cooled down.
If <CHECK PRINTER> then appears,
contact your local authorised Canon
dealer or the Canon help line.
Try to reinstall the printhead. If the
message remains in the LCD, the
printhead may be defective. Contact
your local authorised Canon dealer or
the Canon help line.
