3.4 Cleaning cooktop parts

Remove grids, caps and burners from the
cooktop before cleaning.
Clean them by hand with lukewarm water
and mild detergent; remove any food
residues and make sure burners are not
clogged.
Rinse and dry carefully. Place burners and
caps back in their respective place.
When replacing the grids, make sure that
the pan stand area is aligned with the
burner.

3.5 Troubleshooting guide

If the cooktop does not work properly, try
the solutions suggested here before calling
the After-Sales Service.
1. The burner will not operate or flames
are uneven.
Check whether:
The gas or electrical supplies are not shut
off and whether the knob is in open
position.
The gas cylinder is empty.
The burner ports are not clogged.
The ignition plug end is dirty.
The burner parts have been properly
positioned.
There is draft in the room the cooktop
is in.
If after the above checks the failure persists, get in touch with the nearest After-Sales
Service.

Models equipped with electrical ignition
plugs and safety device require constant
cleaning of the ignition plugs to work
properly. Check frequently, and if
necessary, clean with a damp cloth.
Remove any baked-on food with a
toothpick or needle.
Note:
To avoid damaging the electrical ignition
plug, do not use it when burners are not
in place.
2. 1. The burner does not stay lit.
Check whether:
The gas or electrical supplies are not shut
off and whether the knob is in open
position.
The knob is pressed long enough to
actuate the protection device when
lighting the burner.
Burner ports are not clogged near the
thermocouple.
The ignition plug end (thermocouple) is
dirty.
The minimum gas setting is correct (see
"Adjusting minimum gas supply").
3. Cookware is not stable.
Check whether:
The bottom of the cookware is flat.
The cookware is centered on the burner.
The grids are properly placed.
