Is the C50 warm to the touch?
The unit might have overheated and shut down. Turn the unit off and let it
cool down for several minutes but less than one hour, or you might lose
information registered in memory. Try using it again.
Are you not able to make copies?
The HOOK button might be pressed. You cannot make copies if the HOOK
button is pressed. Press the HOOK button to release it.

Is the operation panel blank?
You might have a power problem. Check that the AC adapter is plugged
securely into the unit, and that your electrical source is OK.
Is the C50 warm to the touch?

information registered in memory. Try using it again.
Is the ALARM light is on?
Turn off the C50 unit. Wait 15 seconds and plug it in again to turn on
power. The ALARM light should go out. Also check to see if paper is
jammed.
Does paper not come out of the printer?
Check that you have a bi-directional parallel cable connecting the C50 unit
to your PC. Check your computer's set-up to be sure the primary parallel
port is set to the appropriate printer port, for example, LPT1 or LPT2. Make
sure the Print Setup option of your printing application shows Canon C50
Printer as the printer selected.
Is the printing not fast enough?
The print options you have selected might be too complex. Set print
options to the basics, such as standard quality, automatic print model, and
so on.
