Descriptions
Sets how the machine receives fax and telephone calls.
The machine automatically receives faxes, all calls will be answered as fax
transmission. Voice calls will then be disconnected.
The machine automatically switches between fax and voice calls. Fax will
be received automatically, and the machine will ring for voice calls.
The machine receives documents automatically and the answering
machine records voice calls.
The machine distinguishes fax and voice calls by using Distinctive Ring
Pattern Detection and lets you know if the call is a fax or voice call.
The connected telephone rings when the machine receives both fax and
voice calls. Fax calls must be answered manually. If <MAN/AUTO
SWITCH> is set to <ON>, faxes can be received automatically. (See <5.
MAN/AUTO SWITCH> of "Menu Descriptions," on p. 8-5.)
The basic operation settings in the Fax mode can be specified.
Specifies the telephone line settings.
Your fax/telephone number can be registered within 20 digits, including
spaces. (See "Registering Your Fax/Telephone Number and Name," on
p. 2-5.)
Selects the telephone line type. (See "Setting the Telephone Line Type,"
on p. 2-6.)
The telephone line is set for touch tone dialing.
The telephone line is set for rotary pulse dialing.
Sets the transmission speed for all documents you send.

Sets the transmission speed for all documents you receive.
