    Special features of your radio Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB) Your CHALLENGE 530 DAB is provided with a DAB programme source which enables a crystal-clear radio reception in CD quality, that is without noise and crackling. DAB radio programmes are grouped on regional and national level in so-called ensembles, one ensemble comprising several pro- grammes which are broadcast on one frequency.

    BASIC SETTINGS __________________________________ Programme types (PTY) Many broadcasters offer the programme type service (PTY) in the FM range. For example, during a news flash, the programme type identification NEWS is broadcast. Using the PTY function it is possible to tune automatically to a station which is offering a pre- selected programme type, e.g.

If you have activated your car radio's coding, the radio is electronically blocked as soon as you disconnect it from the car battery (or permanent plus terminal 30).
